Your lawn is unique. We start each program with a lawn soil assessment. At Oliver’s Turf we create a program tailored to meet your lawns unique needs in order for your lawn to thrive. Oliver’s Turf offers a range of lawn programs designed to give your lawn the right help at the right time. Your treatment program will consist of 4 rounds per year which can include Lawn Fertilization, Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control, Broadleaf Weed Control, Preventative Grub and Tick Treatments.

Core Aeration involves penetrating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction. Overseeding is the process spreading a high-quality grass seed, which we will tailor to your lawn specific to your grass type, over an existing lawn. Overseeding will help thicken your lawn and reduce bare spots. Overseeding will also increase weed resistance as well as introduce different turf cultivars that are more resistant to pests and disease. Overseeding creates a more stress-resistant lawn.

These pests don’t stand a chance in your yard. We want to ensure your outdoor spaces are safe and enjoyable for everyone pets included. Our Tick treatment handles ticks, flees and several other pests. While our Grub treatment will handle the grubs that are attracted to healthy, thick grass. Healthy grass means a healthy root system, which is what the grubs feed on as soon as they hatch. Grubs feed on the roots of your grass causing areas to be damaged and die off. The higher the concentration of larvae, the more severe your lawn damage will be. Symptoms of damage include Grass with damaged roots will begin to thin, yellow, and die. Irregular patches of brown grass will appear in random places in your lawn. Grass will feel very spongy and will pull up very easily. Since the roots are damaged, the turf will often roll up like carpet. Grass will be very vulnerable to drought and other stressors. Another sign of the presence of white grubs in your soil is an increase in activity of raccoons, moles, and birds digging in your turf, and even certain wasps flying low to the ground in your lawn.

Well-fed plants are healthier, more productive and more beautiful. At Oliver’s Turf we offer two treatments, spring and fall fertilization, with our Tree, Shrub and Ornamental Treatments Program. We also offer treatment for insect and disease problems. Plants need to be fertilized because most soil does not provide the essential nutrients required for optimum growth. Even if you are lucky enough to start with great garden soil, as your plants grow, they absorb nutrients and leave the soil less fertile.
